The people at Stylus are very talented, from the researchers to the sales team to marketing - Stylus has some great thinkers and a committed team.The Stylus.com product is a genuine joy to read with something new to learn every day. The content team who write the reports clearly love their job and their industry and it shows in the quality of the work.The Advisory team are fantastic presenters and are most often the reason that clients stay with Stylus as well as continue to buy increasing - and larger projects.The client services team and the sales team both work incredibly hard to keep the current clients happy - going way above and beyond - as well as spreading the Stylus word far and wide.The new CRO is incredibly positive and will drive the team to great success.
단점:It can sometimes be easy to get caught up in the monthly targets and short term thinking due to the structure of the targets.

단점:They pride themselves on being flexible, but that’s all talk. It’s very ironic that this is an “innovation” company that sticks to some very old school tactics. They’ll tell you that you can move up in the company, but make it impossible to do so. I have witnessed several examples of blatant discrimination that HR and management refuse to do anything about. Low pay and lack of recognition is very... demoralizing—yet Stylus is shocked they have such a high turn-over rate.

Very intersting product. Great editorial staff but the fact that they call them editors and not analysts is sort of odd. Whatever the case, they have some very bright and talended folks churning out the trends research. Website is graphically pleasing but hard to find what you are looking for. Compensation is decent but the benefits are not great.
단점:Where to start. The CEO is a bit odd to say the least and seems completely unaware of the problems his company is facing. He made millions at his last gig so maybe he doesn't care but the sales organization is doomed to fail with the short-sighted and just plain mean person who heads it up. There is no strategy at all, no understanding of what a sales cycle is and zero patience. If they don't get a sale, the... answer is to drop the price further. Great way to end up out of business. They offer different prices to the same organizations (divisions) which as I predicted would come back to bite them in the rear end. Also they ask their sales people to do unethical things like close business that isn't closed then ride you to close it-annoying and confusing to customers who know they didn't sign anything yet and also in many cases, turning them off for good. Stylus wants to be special
단점:They'll lie to their employees and investors in order to look like they're special. Management is run by maniacal egoists - with little understanding of process, the support needed to ensure success, the willingness to improve, or the ability to follow-through on commitments.

While working at stylus I was lucky enough to work with nice, smart people. My managers were good and insightful but one (probably unknowingly) handled issues terribly. Staff in other teams were all lovely - so many nice people here but I think its apparent that people can be nice while company culture remains cruel.
단점:I knew Stylus had a bad rep on Glassdoor but avoided making a review up until now because I felt much of what needed to be said has been said by others already and wanted to put it behind me. Recently, something reminded me of the company and just what an awful time I had there so I set aside some time to air this out. I wont be too specific, I don't remember if I was asked to sign an NDA (it certainly feels... like something I would have been asked to sign under the guise of protecting IP) and I don't want to get myself in trouble. This is a bad company to work for. If you're looking for a nice, fair environment, this isn't it. If you're looking for a modern approach to work, this isn't it. If you're hoping to get elbow deep in trend analysis this *may* be it but in my experience working with a handful of other similar companies, this isn't the place for the sharpest insights. Stylus is a bare-bones approach to trend insight. I really wish I could go into specifics here because my time at the company was rife with terrible occurrences - my biggest regret is that I didn’t act on these at the time and seek legal advice. I think in these situations to protect yourself you just try and get away as far and fast as possible. It has been some time since I left, but from what I can see and have heard it has not changed much. If you have other options, avoid this company - for such a tiny company it has such a high amount of terrible reviews on here (and believe me, more if you were to talk to people who worked here but don’t know about this site). This is a bad company to work for. If you're looking for a nice, fair environment, this isn't it. If you're looking for a modern approach to work, this isn't it. If you're hoping to get elbow deep in trend analysis this *may* be it but in my experience working with a handful of other similar companies this isn't the place for the sharpest insigts

The people are the biggest asset to this company.
단점:In my time there I saw a huge number of exceptionally talented people leave the business because they were not well looked after. A number of the C level team like to sit in their glass offices and their attitudes and behaviors have a dreadful impact on the culture of the business. The people in key roles are often not rewarded appropriately for the hard work that they put in and it has turned into a dog eat dog... world with the top people only there to look out for their own personal gain.

Great location, some brilliant and friendly people, a good amount of team socials, opportunities to travel
단점:Strict hierarchy and unprofessional management; unhealthy work-life balance for poor pay, no trust in the staff means that you always have to work in the office (which being open plan is not ideal), no investing in employees through training or even proper tools. Overall would not recommend as an employer.

Some talented coworkers, good but overworked graphics team.
단점:This place is absolutely toxic — honestly the worst place I have worked and it’s a blight on the trend forecasting industry (I have worked at the larger companies). I read a review here that said people cry in the bathrooms — this is true. Overzealous heads of department are constantly micromanaging tasks and there is no clear route for progression for more junior staff.

As a Client Services Manager I had an incredible role at Stylus, I was taking care of real Key Accounts in my region and was able to make valuable connections. The work is very versatile and the X-industry approach means you get to do tailored presentations to your clients each time. There was no micro management at Stylus and I was able to get my job done without having to follow a strict process but rather by... being able to take the clients needs and preferred way/frequency of contact into consideration. I enjoyed working with the team immensely as they are a great mix of experience and young enthusiasm.
단점:None. I genuinely hope to return in a product focussed role in a couple of years.

Surrounded by extremely talented journalists and researchers who are always one-step ahead, producing intelligent content. Friendly, fun environment - A joy to walk through the door every morning! Management team seem to always be aware of any issues, minor or major and listen to suggestions on how things can be improved, from working environment to corporate systems. Strong team spirit, everyone’s in it... together and everyone’s voice counts.
단점:If you’re scared of hard work, you will get a shock! All teams work non-stop to produce truly innovative content.

Most of the staff were friendly with a 'we're in this together' attitude to work, although the office atmosphere does at times create unnecessary competition. Office in a good central location.
단점:I'll preface by saying this is the worst company I have ever worked for and I would advise if you have other options to steer clear. I was not fired, but have witnessed many people be let go unceremoniously with little to no warning. Despite writing content about industry and the world outside there is little to no budget (or time out of the office) allowed. A handful of people travel while the rest are tied to... desks. As I understand the CEO travels first class. Wages are wildly different between levels and there is little room for movement (regardless of what I was told in the interview). CEO Mark seldom makes eye contact with anyone and doesn't speak to any of his staff despite sharing an office daily. My entire time at the company (a significant amount of time without going into detail) I heard his voice once at a mixer where he announced we had an unusually good month of sales. Communication is a real problem. If you enjoy answering hundreds of emails a week from people sitting a few feet away from you this company may be for you. The worst part is management. Mark seems to be fully engrossed in the principles of Start-Up tech culture and applies them to this very non-start up editorial enterprise. People are hired and fired within months, new roles and companies are created that interfere with the incumbent editors responsibilities and then land them with double when the whole thing is dissolved. There's a real fear for your job in this role, which may be in jeopardy not because of your own poor performance but on a management whim.
