"Awesome organization"

The CA has an awesome mission and faithfully follows it. My supervisor is still a key mentor in my life and has been a great model for leadership within social justice work. People are so dedicated they often work after-hours going to protests and organizing advocacy campaigns -- it feels like it comes from genuine passion, not from a pressure to overwork. Being able to go on prison visits was incredibly formative and is important in grounding the work in the office to the reality in detention spaces.
단점:When I was there I know there was some mumblings about the ED, but they have since hired a new one. A lot of the criticism had to do with how previously incarcerated employees were treated within the organization. Work as an intern sometimes felt monotonous and without specific structure, but I still felt I grew a lot from the experience.
