단점:1. There is no HR department: zero thought in terms of a clear career plan for any employees, the review process is unorganized. There is no long term strategy or clear delivery of information in terms of the review process. 2. Lack of leadership: the senior management is focused on promoting themselves often and enjoying themselves when they can with time off. They will be out of the office at 5pm promptly on days... when they feel but expect you to remain plugged in and stay late. The senior management offers no transparency on their vision for the company. 3. Lack of resources: there are zero resources for on boarding, IT, facilities, really anything for the matter. Any issue or obstacle you face, you must learn how to overcome on your own. 4. Politics: upper management is favored and it is apparent each and every day. Upper level management picks their favorites and the rest are treated like disposable workers. Upper level management is free to leave for extended periods of time throughout the day or online shop/browse social media while their team below is overworked. 5. Understaffed: the company does not want to staff fully in an effort to minimize costs. Everyone is spread too thin, doing 2-3 peoples jobs at once resulting in little time to collaborate, transfer information, brainstorm, hold meetings, or train employees. 6. Lack of direction: direction is extremely disjointed and disconnected. Employees receive disconnected feedback from their direct manager then from supervisors above them. 7. Lack of culture: there is no company culture here whatsoever. The company does next to nothing to give back to its employees.

단점:Where do I begin? All of the other reviews below are so on point. It’s pretty ironic that T&P recently launched a big campaign with Chico’s that empowers women and celebrates their true selves when the leadership team does the complete opposite. The leadership team is a group of sexist, unsupportive, frugal (when it comes to their employees), cold-hearted people that only think about themselves. A sorry... excuse for “leaders”. “The&Partnership top 5 email” scandal is this just tip of the sexist and degrading iceberg that is The&Partnership. During my time there, I saw an absurd amount of people get fired but leadership didn’t have the balls to give any sort of explanation to the rest of the company, and instead would make up their own stories about the former employee on the side, leaving the rest of the company worried about their careers. It’s all a favorites game. There are a couple people clearly favorited by the CEO (that are typically on vacation/not even working) that have moved up the totem pole much faster and skipped sequential roles, leaving those who actually work hard every day waiting in the dust. Also, don’t bother asking for a raise because you won’t get it.

Met a couple good people there (entirely incidentally).
단점:The single worst agency I've ever worked for. The NYC office is the most paranoid, backwards-looking, sexist environment. If you ever watched "The Handmaid's Tale" and said, " I'd love to live there," then, boy, do I have the office for you! Culture is non-existent. Every once in a while they'll put like 2 bottles of wine out in the kitchen and call it a happy hour (meanwhile the executives are out spending $2...,000 on champagne at lunch). Raises aren't dependent on the quality of work -- good people are regularly ignored and sidelined in favor of suck-ups. (They'll also insist they don't have the money but see earlier note re: $2000 champagne lunches.) The only way to make sure you keep moving upward at this agency is to mercilessly report on your fellow teammates. Leadership loves nothing more than gossip, and if anyone is ever known to express a negative opinion about anything in the agency, they are ruthlessly hunted down and often removed from the majority of their projects as punishment. Groupthink is the only way to survive here. It's like a cult, without the comfy robes and free kool-aid. People you've worked next to for months will suddenly be fired at the end of the day. There will be no explanation provided. In fact, leadership will pretend as if that person never existed. It'll start to make you feel insane. You'll question your entire being. Creative at this shop is dreadful. Stuck in the 80s conceptually (and not the fun 80s of neon colors and good music). The clients are bad but almost don't even matter, because leadership will make all your ideas so, so, so much worse before they even get to the clients. At times, we were begging to even make a banner ad. A banner ad! Please! Just one! There's a reason this place can only win accounts that go bankrupt within the year. This agency is dying, and deserves to die. And if you've read all this and are STILL considering accepting a job at the&partnership (they're always hiring because no one wants to work there), do yourself a favor and google "the&partnership top 5 email" before you sign onto this place. It's rotten all the way to the top.

단점:The negativity and intensely political environment takes precedence over doing any good work. It's very difficult to respect or trust any of the leadership because it's so clear they don't respect or trust each other. By the time you shovel aside all the politics, you're left with a creative practice that's stuck somewhere in the late 20th century. If I had a quarter for every time I heard someone say "that's just... not the way we do things" I would probably have enough money to buy back all the free bagels I ate. There is a lack of flexibility, and a clear unwillingness to adapt to the creative and cultural demands of running an agency in 2017.

They have a few good clients and work actually gets made.
단점:Terrible management and incredibly cliquey. If you're not one of the anointed few be prepared to have your opinions dismissed on a daily basis. It's a shame because the work is so-so and could be so much better if they listened and had a "let's do this" mentality. They also burn themselves out on 101 pitches and win zero of them because management can't confess they have poor interpersonal skills with... prospective clients. I've seen some of the most cringeworthy pitch videos come out of this shop. You also have to research who is sleeping with who in this shop, Accounts Managers use their bedfellows to advance. It's all like a really budget episode from GoT.

The location is good (in Soho), the office space is a lovely loft, and some very good people work there. CHI & Partners has some interesting clients if you can get on the right accounts.
단점:The general culture of CHI & Partners is the worst kind of ad agency culture: ego-driven, punitive, political, and they are not forward-facing. They seem to be living in a Don Draper past.

Change does happen. If you do a good job then you are valued and recognised. The team in Edinburgh is going from strength to strength. Great new people with a desire to make a difference. If you have a good attitude and can work well in a team then they offer fantastic opportunities for growth. Big clients and campaigns and the ability to build and influence client relationships. I have experienced... inspiring and supportive leadership. I am challenged to do my best but supported when I need help. Almost all of the managers are willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved. If you want to be able to affect change and make a difference then this could be the place for you. Salary and the ability to work from home.
단점:There are always things that can be improved. Not everyone on the team brings the same positive attitude, which is disappointing. There is no place to hide here so you need to be confident in your own abilities and be able to do your job well. I would not recommend it to people who don't like change or are work shy. The & Model in Edinburgh is only 2 years old so is constantly changing and... evolving like a start up. Processes are improving but can be challenging so If you want an easy ride with it all laid out on a plate, then it wont be for you.

단점:The leadership team is ineffective and does not address challenges. There is no induction, no actual HR on-site, no real employee development plan or strategy. There is little-to-no line management support of any kind, save for a few select employees. The systems and processes are inefficient and the department is disorganised. Favouritism is a huge problem and the environment is very political. There is also a... big problem with negativity, but Management isn't interested in tackling the real reasons for it, they simply blame employees. Hours are very long and workload is extremely heavy. Staff turnover is very high as a result.

Great Team Spirit - No matter which account or project you are working on there is always a sense that everyone on the team needs to take accountability for the work which is being created. Staff welfare - The agency has a number of initiatives to continual improve the welfare of their staff. From yoga classes to organised team nights out, there is always something available.
단점:As with a lot of the industry, diversity within the agency is not representative of the stories in which we tell. However, I do know that this is high on the agency's agenda.

Very positive and supportive environment - in my first job after graduating, I was given lots of help and attention that gave me the confidence to do my job to the best of my ability. Fun! There is a real effort made by people at all levels to make the agency a good place to be and work, and to help people get to know each other, especially with things like 'Well Good Fun' (three committees that take care of... wellness, good causes and charity work and fun social events) The work is fast-paced and varied, and it's a really inspiring environment to be in. It's great to be surrounded by really brilliant creative people (and especially the high number of wonderful women in senior roles).
단점:Given the flexibility of the working environment, sometimes the right process isn't totally clear, and work isn't done in the most efficient way. Not much negative to say at all - difficult to know how it compares since it is my first job in the industry.

The agency is full of passionate, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals, meaning really brilliant work is continually produced. It has a collaborative feel, there is a lot of solid team work and support. Something that makes CHI different to other places I've worked at, are the training sessions that encourage the whole agency to get involved and to think outside the box.

Extremely collaborative environment - the agency philosophy that a good idea can come from anywhere certainly holds true. There are constant meetings with creatives/planners/account men where ideas and creative are discussed - everyone's view seems listened to. Working with people, both junior and senior, that draw out the best in you. I've felt like I've had to be constantly on-the-ball and sharp because of the... people around me. It's not an environment that makes me scared of making mistakes though, more that I need to be at my best to keep up. Lots of client exposure. The agency trusts you to meet and talk about ideas with clients from early on. Although this has put me out of my comfort zone, I've learnt a lot from it and have a clear idea of where to improve, which will definitely help my development. The training. I've had introductory talks by all heads of department, met and been made to feel welcome by senior people, and had multiple training sessions with Katie Pople. I feel like there's been an investment in my future and a big effort made to give me a solid grounding in advertising.
단점:It has been very stressful at times. I've been given responsibility from day one and, as someone new to advertising, this has sometimes felt like a lot to manage and I've made a fair few mistakes. That being said, I consider it a positive in the long-run. It's meant I've learnt very quickly, developing skills and understandings that were alien to me a few months ago. It's made me feel more confident, more quickly.

CHI on the CV looks good and my team were great
단점:After just a couple of months with CHI I found out the client my team worked with was up for pitch. With months of hard work, uncertainty and a total lack of communication or motivation from management we found out we had won the pitch. Unfortunately during the pitch process the business model changed and it was decided the team would be imbedded within the clients offices in another country – essentially putting... the whole team out of a job. What was most disappointing is the way CHI conducted itself after stating how much it valued its staff/family. It is shocking that the team only received statutory redundancy and no real effort was made to place us in new roles after we went above and beyond to help win the pitch and offer the client good quality work. Considering Chi is part of the largest marketing group in the world WPP, not one of us was placed elsewhere even though there were many job openings across the group.

CHI&Partners has a great pool of talent and personality. The people are one of the reasons most people stay for some time at the agency. They work hard, but have fun whilst doing it. The office is in a great location and the group set up means you have access to all communications disciplines (advertising, branding, strategy, design, digital, social, content, PR, media planning, media buying, CRM, Data analytics,... sponsorship). This means you're exposed from day one to a complete communications team - from management to day to day team. Being part of The&Partnership family also opens up opportunities to work with or for our global partners in North America and Asia.
단점:You work hard - but pay off is working with great people.

Amazing office with a great, buzzing environment and vibrant culture. One of the best things about working at CHI is the fact that there are no egos, teams really are teams and everyone pulls together to do great work. Management are candid and not scared of rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done, and there's an ambition to create amazing, boundary-pushing work which filters down from the top.

Supportive working environment, professionally and personally - there is a real focus on allowing people to work in the way that works best for them, and allowing people to be themselves at work. People at all levels work incredibly hard to make the work great. Management and partners in the business work hard to develop and nurture talent from within as well as opening up the doors to people of all backgrounds... and skillsets. Flat hierarchy and lovely sense of team, across all departments in the business. Great culture, with lots of socialising with colleagues; sharing of extracurricular ideas and activities; and various fun schemes including Running Club, Thursday bar nights and Friday pint opportunities ...
단점:Can't think of many! The water coolers occasionally run out of water ... But then there's always the pub.

Nice people working under extreme pressure and without much relief from it. Relentless pace of work. More of a factory than a creative agency.
단점:See's the design department as a factory floor, no windows creates a nice sweat shop feel. The creative department is under pressure, the planners can't plan and the account teams, arrogant. It takes nonsense agency to the next level. Very rude people. Lads culture. A lot a pent up anger going around... It was trying to be all Krays and east London gangster... But was more like the 'only way is Essex'. Unbelievable... nastiness downstairs in design. Studios manager a bit of a joke and as such the studio was a horrible chaotic, stressed out space. Not nice at all.

단점:The pressure put on different teams by senior management mean that there are a lot of barriers to overcome to get work through. Everyday felt like an uphill struggle more than anywhere else I've worked (5 agencies). Management don't seem to understand teamwork and have no desire to get to know anyone they haven't hand selected. There was a "fear" of management in general, unhealthily I would say. No strong... digital thinking.

The agency produce some really good work, and everyone there is happy to muck in and get the work done. There was a real positive vibe around the agency and everyone is passionate about producing top class work.
단점:The management team felt very distant to the rest of the agency, during my tenure I think I spoke a total of 3 words to any of them, they had very little interest on what was happening day to day and only engaged with certain people. Which leaves you feeling a little under appreciated given the amount of work everyone was putting in to making the agency a success.

CHI has produced some great campaigns and services clients very well. There are some really talented people on the creative side and they are good a solving clients business problems
단점:The agency is devoid of any culture or atmosphere. The senior team run the agency like a factory and have little regard for junior people. Long hours are expected and often senior people take credit. The planning department is pretty weak putting alot of pressure on the creative teams - somehow they manage to come up with the goods.
