Hiring process from first contact with recuriter to deployment was a good experience. Once on ground at the compound things become different.
단점:The pay is not worth the time you are away from your family. Living conditions are fair but could be better and safer. Management seems to fear change. Although there is a substance allowance it is not enough to cover cost. If you were not an Field Grade Officer in the military then you will only be able to move through 3 levels of career progression and stop.

Pay is fair, vehicle and housing provided, good for those with junior military experience
단점:Pay is less than competitors, housing is barracks or apartment style (mature adults need not apply). Independent thinkers, leaders, and experienced professionals will have difficulty being treated like a child. There is no incentive to perform here - shut your pie-hole and submit your timesheet. Management acts like the membership committee of a fraternity - you're either one of them or you are nothing.

Location offers vast amount of travel opportunities. Good employment opportunity for newly transitioning vets who still need time while networking a preferred career path.
단점:Almost zero growth opportunities. When they open up, promotion is not based off a spelt out criteria in the job description but rather off a biased and good ole boy system. For former enlisted, the sky is NOT the limit. Progression comes to a screeching halt after 3 promotions, that is if you are fortunate to meet the biased flow stared above. Leadership is too heavy with veterans who retired centuries ago and are... out of touch with modern leadership and training traits. Vinnell has potential to be a truly exciting job but all possible plusses are being negated by archaic stewardship. I would not recommend this job for a career with potential for growth. Do it for 2 years max while you search for something more preferable and move on. Lastly, the compensation is certainly not worth the sacrifices one makes to come live here. Vinnell is one of the lowest paying companies for US expats working here in the Middle East. The company seems to believe the Managers are the only ones working hard and lavish them with BIG bonuses every quarter + extra admin days. Former enlisted of course never make managers even though you may have the experience to execute the duties proficiently

Vacation and benefits. Pay depends on what you do and divisions. Will live on company compound unless senior management and/or due to work location. Good rehire policy. Basically free medical for you and a very good health insurance back home, even if you are retired take it.
단점:Pay depending on what you were doing in the states can be good or bad. Depending on job, both work and off time can be boring. While your dependent on the Saudi medical system, which is good, there is nothing to take care of any service related issues. Communication is not that great. There are changes coming to the company also.

단점:I am a current employee with Vinnell Arabia and quite honestly being employed here is truly a headache. The living conditions here are just horrible beyond belief to where some employees are living better than others and have the deserved freedom they desire while the grunts (actual employees) are housed on top of each other in uncomfortable conditions and oh before I forget, in with the direct hires. The pay is... unequal to where the management takes the credit for the work or training which is done and the worker bees constantly get used and abused because majority of the management has retired or came here in the dinasour age that change is the furthest thing from thier minds all because of the fact that thier job security may be effected if the company were to move more into the 21st century, and the list could go on and on.

Free Living, Free medical care when you are in SA
단점:Pay not Competitive enough, Have to live with another roommate, can not take family with you or live with you unless you are a 27 and above. Management does not care unless you were a officer of the military. Can not grow a beard , Not time off for US holidays. Management doe not want to take care of your problems or concerns including if you got to HR with a problem. They have no activities on Camp Vinnell Arabia... Compound and the store on camp is overpriced, No room for promotion and biased towards officer of the military. The 28 and above live at better compounds then regular employees do, Other employees have their own vehicles while other have to ride with 3 or 5 employees. You only get paid once a month. Mostly all ex military think that they still are in the military and do not realize they have got out of the military. Yo will be treated just like you are in the military. The De fact is totally not free and so overpriced and would not feed the food to the dogs outside. Internet is slow even if you buy your own on economy and company INTERNET they want your IP and Mac Address of your own personal computer so they can monitor you They are over budget and have no money and parts to fix equipment. They do not review employees opinions about the company when you leave they just throw your review in the garbage. States side recruiting and Hr never ask how you are and how things are going in SA . JUST REMEMBER YOU ARE ONLY A NUMBER AT THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU ARE A FORMER OFFICER!

Tax Free money while working overseas, as long as you are out of the United States for more than 330 days. While you are there in the Middle East, have plenty of opportunities to travel around the Asian Continent. Plenty of time off when you need it.
단점:Had to have a Mosque on the base. Old buildings. US Security forces are not allowed to cary weapons, so have to rely on the Saudi National Guard.

단점:If you are not a retired field grade, you are not a valued asset. This is a place for those who cannot transition to civilian life after retirement. The collective values of members (adultery, excessive drinking, etc. ) is astonishing.

단점:Of the negatives (which are very few) the length of working hours per day, amounting to ten hours in addition to the time of arrival and departure to the house and up to more than an hour a day. Eleven hours a day is very, very long time.

A very nice insurance package for self and family. Life, health, dental, vision, LTD. The accomodations are nice. 2 and 3 bedroom villas, kitchen, laundry livingroom. Individual bathrooms. Pool, restaurant, bar, gym and bowling alley. No hard work at all. A very easy paycheck, other than you are away from your family.
단점:Horrible internet service. Intermitent and very slow. Management has no intention of upgrading. This is a problem because this is your link to the rest of the world. Magicjack/skype so you can talk to family. webcam and so on. You can go days without internet service and no response to get it fixed. It is like the movie "Groundhog Day" here. Everyday blends into the next. Boredom factor is high.
