Good people and managers. Great industry. Salary is a little below top companies, but not bad. Tough to hit target bonus.
단점:Industry is shrinking due to consolidation, on-line stores. Virbac does not have a strong pipeline. No blockbuster products like their competitors.

Their heart is in the right place, striving to want to do the right things, the right way. Good personnel ... but, see Cons
단점:The intense push for return to manufacturing in the US, is a poster child of too many cooks in the kitchen, mixed with haste makes waste and chasing yourself into a tail-spin. High turn over, power play management turning good people, into frustrated and furious employees. A culture that has gone from the what it was to what it is. Really sad that the former culture has been replaced by the current one. It'll... take a lot of sincere effort to revise this one.

Decent employee benefits and pay is competitive.
단점:Lots of dictators, bully the workers, lots of interdepartmental backstabbing and infighting, if you speak up for what you know is right and it happens to be counter to leadership then forget it -- retaliatory actions will happen to you. Toxic environment from the top down. The St. Louis facility has tons of negative issues.

Some nice people with competence but I would not advise working here unless you are just looking for a paycheck until you find something better.
단점:Poor leadership both in US and France. Company has such a bad reputation that they have trouble recruiting and retaining good employees at all levels. Poor quality standards. Very poor culture; divisive, petty, distrustful work environment with little cooperation between departments and lots of hidden agendas.

Nice benefits for full-time employees. You can meet some good coworkers passing through and develop your network.
단점:Management style is punitive which contributes a lot to the high turnover. Poor training and development of employees. This site, in particular, has developed a bad reputation in the St. Louis, MO scientific community. Building is next to Bridgeton landfill and air sometimes stinks during warm months. Overall, this is not a desirable place to work.

There is a wide range of products to sell. Some of the sales team are great. Decent training.
단점:Some of the sales team are poor. Management is poor - have lost some really good people in sales and the whole company - they lose a lot of staff. Seems to be an increasingly toxic atmosphere. Really competitive so increasing pressure applied and doubt will get my bonus.

Virbac has the feel of a family-run company. They genuinely care about employees and while they thankfully don't talk about work/life balance, they practise it! Since I joined, I've done minimal weekend or after hours work. I see potential for career development at the local level, and globally. Lots of products, broad areas from companions to equine to livestock. Agile in approach to product development and... business development.
단점:They pay lower than market rates unless you are willing to negotiate. I negotiated as good a deal as I had with a larger company. They don't do strategy. At all. There are pros and cons to this - you can make your own strategy and deliver it. But don't expect s coherent approach to what their future looks like - they're making it up as they go. Communication from HQ is appalling. The upside is that affiliates... outside of France can just get on with things without interference. The downside is the lack of clear message about where we are going and why.

Lot of opportunities as the company aims at growing steadily maintaining its independence. Family size business, easy going members of board.
단점:No carreer path, pay and benefits pretty low. No Strategic vision for the next 10 years. Has to define whether is is a Innovative (product and service R&D) or Generic (industrial oriented) company. HQ should be much more international.

Good company, good plans for the future, nice product portfolio. It is a promise of a great place in the future. Good international relation with the subsidiaries.
단점:Seem to be great globally but acts locally as a small company. No good opportunities are shared among the team. People are always coming and going, but no knowledge remains. There is a huge gap between the managers and the teams.
