The office is located in Pleasanton which is a very nice little suburb of San Francisco.
단점:1. Some people appear to have nothing to do except chit chat all day. 2. Lots of favoritism in most departments. 3. Watch your back type of environment. My experience here has not been good. I would not recommend anyone work for this company.

Good pay and bounses, swag ,free food
단점:Unreasonable timelines. CEO and all upper management is a total cult of personality . Be prepared to be fired anytime. Unless you’re in the “in” crowd, very unlikely, you’ll be out soon. They mostly buy other companies, so engineers spend all their time modifying existing designs. Work hours are 7/24. But CEO always gone on Fridays and many other days

Fun startup feel with experienced management team. Transparent goals both at company and individual level. Great team of driven and experienced co-workers. Results oriented value system creates a feeling of trust and self accountability. Fast product development cycles means you never get bored working on the same project. And because of an experienced marketing team, you will get to see your product actually hit... the market and sell!
단점:Fast paced development cycles may not be for everyone. Pressure is fairly constant, so its sometimes hard to self regulate your work/life balance. Lean startup infrastructure means sometimes having to work outside your comfort zone to get the job done.

Cool swag and executive team has a clear direction/mission of where they want to take the company however, products are faulty. Lots of quality issues under the hood.
단점:If you enjoy working in an environment that promotes backstabbing, gossiping, and bullying then this place is for you. The people here act like they’re still in high school: forming cliques and icing out people who they deem aren’t “cool”. This culture was created and propagated from the top down. Some other reviewers mention that this place pays well. It actually doesn’t. Compared to the industry average, this... place pays 20% less. Benefits are also zilch. No 401k setup, let alone matching. Vacation and or PTO? Nope. They claim to have unlimited vacation but what that really means is that you’re constantly working and they can contact you anytime.

I've been at Unchained for over 2 years and still I never get bored. It's a fast paced environment which challenges you and keeps you on your toes. The people are really nice and fun to hang out with. Company has the Results Only Work Environment which allows you to have a real work/life balance. Work hard and you will be rewarded. Great growth potential.
단점:If you are not an independent individual who enjoys a challenge then this place is not for you. A rote/process minded individual will find this place difficult. People who don't work hard and can't find fun with the pace, people who would rather work following documents, people who can't think for themselves, or who just wanna pack their face with free food while watching internet videos will be let go and have... been.

Pay for some. Decent benefits
단점:If you work in operations then your screed. No back up for any position so you can never take a day off without feeling guilty encluding holidays. People are often fired but often not replaced putting more responsibility on the poor souls left behind.

Good pay for some, decent benefits, swag.
단점:The CEO brags about how ROWE (result only work environment) will allow employees to spend time with their families. The truth is while this concept might work for some, for the folks in Operations it just means no time off and working 10-14 hours per day. Employees even feel uncomfortable taking off the standard holidays and receive zero guidance from upper management id they can. Employees are constantly talking to... each other about being fired or who is going to get fired next.

Great gears to wear. Free snacks. Flexible hours. Unlimited pto, BUT comes with a price.
단점:Upper management really don't care about how much efforts you put into. Lack of training and procedures were not up to date. With so much work load they give you, you won't have much time to take off. Seen lots of good and talented people were let go every month. Not sure why. Some left on their own bc it was that bad.

Cool product ideas focused on an emerging market. Great swag including t-shirts and outerwear.
단점:Despite having cool products, there is a massive disconnect between senior management and everyone beneath. Timelines are unrealistic, product development resources are stretched increasingly thin, and budget is lacking. This hampers the development process and causes morale to plummet. Unchained Labs is very quick to fire and trim anyone they deem excess without regards to what that can do to teams,... resources, and morale. This leads to a huge gap in knowledge as many newer individuals require training, which, existing employees do not have time to deal with or they risk missing existing project deadlines. Favoritism also reins high as it becomes evident it’s about people’s perception of you versus the actual work you perform. As another reviewer stated, employee benefits are also poor including no 401K matching.

Appreciating, good salary, high speed, open minded, supportive, fun to work there. If you like to have a lot of freedom in your work and you can focus on results, this is the place to be.
단점:If you are not used to working independently with a high ego drive, this is the wrong place for you. High growth rates and the integration of new acquisitions is a great challenge, if you want to keep up the speed and the quality level.
